Achievements
From the date of its inception, members of Mar Philoxenos Memorial Friends′ Association (MARPFA) have been very considerate to extend their full support and co-operation when assistance is required in our native place.
St. Mary′s Orthodox Cathedral Auditorium, Puthencavu
In the year 1991, when Very Rev. Michael Gabriel Abraham Corepiscopa visited us, members of MARPFA came forward to raise funds to buy a property for constructing an auditorium for St. Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral, Puthencavu.
Koorthamala Church near Kumbanadu
The members had also extended their co-operation to Rev. Fr. Mathew Thomas when he visited UAE in the year 1992 for a fund raising drive for the construction of the church.
Financial Assistance
Since the year 1997, financial help for medical treatment, educational and marriage assistance has been extended by MARPFA to the needy people, irrespective of cast or creed. Till date, an amount of Rs.1,600,000 has been disbursed.
Scholarship at Metropolitan Higher Secondary School, Puthencavu
A Scholarship is instituted at Metropolitan Higher Secondary School in loving memory of Puthencavil Kochu Thirumeni since 1998. The scholarship is distributed to 14 students every year on merit-cum-means basis, irrespective of cast or creed. For this purpose, an amount of Rs.100,000 was deposited in the name of the headmaster and the interest earned from this fixed deposit is being used for the scholarship.
Metropolitan Higher Secondary School, Puthencavu
In the year 2000, when Mr. George John, former Headmaster and Mr. K. K. Thomas, the then Headmaster of Metropolitan Higher Secondary School, visited us, we co-operated with them for the fund collection for re-construction of Metropolitan Higher Secondary School, Puthencavu.
Malayala Manorama Supplement
We contributed to the supplement published by Malayala Manorama during the visit of LL. H. H. Moran Mar Baselious Mathew II, Catholicose and Malankara

We have contributed Rs.150,000 for the renovation of Kabaridam of Puthencavil Kochu Thirumeni during the renovation/extension of St. Mary′s Orthodox Cathedral, Puthencavu
Plus 2 Admission
For the benefit of MARPFA members, H. G. Thomas Mar Athanasious Metropolitan has granted a seat for the Plus 2 admission at Metropolitan Higher Secondary School, Puthencavu. We take this opportunity to thank His Grace for this gift to the members of MARPFA.
Library at Baselious Dayara, Njaliakuzhy, Kottayam
An amount of Rs.100,000 was donated by MAFPFA to H.G. Geevarghese Mar Ivanious Metropolitan, for the construction of a library at Baselious Dayara, Njaliakuzhy, Kottayam in loving memory of Puthencavil Kochu Thirumeni.
Sharanalyam Project
An amount of Rs.500,000 was donated for construction of the building for Sharanalayam, Puthencavu
Book about Puthencavil Kochu Thirumeni
We have published a Book (in English) about Puthencavil Kochu Thirumeni. We take this opportunity to thank Dn. Dr. K. A. George (Orthodox Theological Seminary, Kottayam, Mr. Jose P. Kurian, (Abu Dhabi), Prof. John Thampi (Adoor), Mr. Isaac John (Dubai), Mr. P. M. Jose (Sharjah), Mr. Varkey Oommen (Dubai), Mr. Sam Abraham (United States) and Mr. George John (Puthencavu) for their valuable contributions in bringing out this book.
